A Message From Our President

The Virginia School Plant Management Association is very proud to announce our 10th Annual Conference to be held in Midlothian, Virginia in October 2017. The dates of the conference will be from October 15th-18th at the DOUBLETREE by Hilton, which is right in the heart of the Richmond area. Our Association had over 150 attendees and 75 vendors at our conference last year. What a great experience for our vendors to have first-hand access to facility managers from around the state. The benefits include world class presentations that will focus on a “Facilities Masters” track that will include numerous topics on Facility Management, Energy Management, Personnel Management, Green Schools, Plant and School Safety, and Custodial topics.

Our participants and vendors will have a unique opportunity to participate and engage each other in purposeful  collaboration. What an exciting time to share and see new innovative things and to explore what our neighbors are doing across the state. Our vendors have an opportunity to reach out and gain business and contacts from stakeholders all across the state as well. There are major sponsorship levels that we encourage our vendors to explore. There are some positive advantages of being a committed sponsor to the association. There are many opportunities for our participants to make new friends in the facility management world and to learn new things through our break- out sessions. We will have top notch speakers that will talk about a range of topics so that everyone should be able to learn something new from the conference and hopefully apply that knowledge to a real world application. As we move forward in the next few months, please do not hesitate to check out our website @ vspma.org. The association also has the capability to give first class customer service to our vendors and participants. You can speak to our association secretary, Sherry Jennings, five days a week.
